Diagnosis and rehabilitation of pelvic floor muscles

Diagnosis and rehabilitation of pelvic floor muscles

Why is pelvic floor health important?

The pelvic floor muscles are an important foundation of women’s health. They support the pelvic organs, help control bladder function, affect sexual wellbeing and can even influence posture.

Many women experience concerns such as urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse or discomfort during intimacy, without realising that pelvic floor muscle weakness may be a contributing factor.

Why should these concerns not be ignored?

Urinary incontinence is one of the most common concerns, especially after childbirth or with age. It is not simply an inconvenience: it may be a sign that the pelvic floor muscles need assessment and support.

Pelvic organ prolapse is a more serious condition that can sometimes require surgical treatment if preventive care and rehabilitation are not addressed in time.
